Give your focus back to me here. We're not here to discuss America's obsession of skinny girls with voluptuous bodies. Travel to South Korea and let's take a look at Block B and their new song Nilli Mambo. Can I say that this song is amazing. Block B is a serious contender what hip-hop and rap would be in a different country. They are known for staying true to the genre of hip-hop when a lot of k-pop take advantage of the electronic sound and dubstep. Block B as a whole, I have to say that I don't know each members individually except for Zico, who writes a lot of their songs. I can say that they are underdogs of the k-pop industry. It reminds me of BIG BANG and how each of them are individually talented with composing, rapping, dancing and singing. This could be because of their producer Cho PD hand picked them even though it has been reported they failed at least once.
Onto the song I've been listening to this song for about a month now and I think I have the hang of the style they're portraying. With rock orchestra combined with Asian melodies this song puts them in a different state than their past music. There are some remnants of their previous song Nalina in the fact they repetitive repeat Nillili Mambo. Their rapping is what shines in this song. With a powerhouse of rappers Zico and Kyung. Block B definitely came back strong after their controversity with Thailand. I'm not going on about whether the media took their comments too far or if they were truly insulting the devastation Thailand went through. They apologized and shaved their heads. I think that's enough to punish these boys. We all love a comeback story and Block B couldn't have handed a better one.
Now please go check Block B's pirate antics as they run around with a suitcase full of large diamonds. And yet in the end lose them, proceeding to a shoot off with water guns.
