Will You Luv Me?

Luv me cause you just gotta love me....wait do I really care if I do? Okay love me cause I'm handing you another k-pop song.

It's been a while since I did music review, but that doesn't mean I had stopped looking for new k-pop to enjoy. Far from it, actually I was filling my ears (as I study for finals of course) with interesting sounds to excite my ears. After song after song I found D-Unit and their newest single Luv Me. The group consists of Ram, Ujin and Zin.

My first impression was that they were another group that wanted to stand out with some boyish charms. Listening to the song they sounded the exact opposite. You know what I mean the high girlish voices, I wouldn't say sultry but it was enough to remind me that you can slap on a frilly dress and make them shake their rears to the crowd. Speaking of shaking it....what kept me watching actually was the choreography. To say that it was more hip-hop wouldn't define it completely. Let's go back a few steps and emphasize how girls and guys end up doing choreography is different. Women focus on emphasizing at least one of their body parts. Whether be the chest, rear or some other sort of feature that tend to send a message of sexual tension. This is how k-pop often works, tapping into that sexual tension somehow men and women desire. I mean for women often we squeal over a man taking off their shirt slowly and being all excited about their sculpted abs and chiseled face with that somewhat dark look. And men....you all can't deny when women where dresses with long slits up to their thighs you're wondering what else is under there.

So back to their dancing. Guys often use more their legs and arms to emphasize their choreography. I don't know for sure but I guess it's cause they aren't restricted because of heels so they can move around more. It's the style I enjoy emulating. And D-Unit had a lot of that. Although, the song didn't appeal to me as much as I liked the dancing was a sight to see. You don't see a lot of girl groups dancing such heavy choreography often. Check them out. I think I'll keep them under the file of girl groups I'll keep watching their music videos for because of their dancing.

About

How should I describe myself? Should I go into a long rant about me and what I like? Or is a list easier for your eyes? I think a small paragraph should do.

Music is my passion with modern Asian music, such as k-pop, j-pop and j-rock etc., writing is my joy and photography is my growing love. Food is the best way to socialize and fashion is my way to know that I put my shirt on correctly.
