Let's take a trip down memory lane and go back to junior year of high school when we were subjugated to read The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. Remember those days? Toiling over metaphors and the time period the characters faced. Wasn't that fun?
Okay fast forward to 2013 and realize the director who produced Romeo and Juliet that Leo starred in has directed the remake of The Great Gatsby. A friend and his group of friends decided to dress up for the premiere at ten on Thursday night. Sure it was suppose to be an all guy outing but I couldn't resist tagging along. Luckily I did because they had their own personal photographer for the night (moi). Playing with my camera at night wasn't a joyful experience in the morning because I saw the amount of noise in my photos and I panicked. Course the internet is always there to help. I hope it's not that bad!!
As for my own personal review of the movie. It was artistic, yes like all other movies based on books there was a lot of changes but I'll keep that hush hush in case you haven't seen it. Artistically, thought it was filled with much excitement and built for the roaring 20s.
Now for the guys. I know you guys were dressing for the times but it would've been nice to see some color. I mean heck at the end of the movie Leo had a light pastel pink suit. But eh I didn't style them. Oh wait there's a red striped shirt. Good job my man. Good job. I do think, though, you can clearly see the personalities in each of them. I had some solo shots and duo shots but as usual some were camera shy so not everyone was in their own portrait shots. I did get a group shot for your view pleasure.
OH! I forgot to add. The Teenage Gentleman was featured in these photos. Check out his blog where he posts style posts every Saturday and gives advice about just being a good person to your fellow person (although mostly it's love advice but good advice nonetheless.). Link posted here in this paragraph and at the end of this post. I do have a question for him though, if he's 20 can he really call himself a teenager? Just a thought.
.....Wait...I didn't get to write down where they got their stuff! Ugh...well I'm just going to assume H&M or some big brand name suit store like Hugo Boss or maybe Forever 21? Hmm...
