A Slice of Style Makes for an Awesome Shot

Six months into my photography and I'm already getting into styling my models. I mean most of my models have cute outfits to wear and come to church. They're already prepped for me and all I have to do is think of poses. Simple huh?

Let's add another dimension to it and present someone, who thought it'd be a better idea to let me have total reigns on what he should wear and where it be shot and how he should pose. That was a challenge. I've never want to impose my sense of what people could wear on a purposeful basis unless, they asked for it. It was a challenge I did not want to pass up. I felt honored that someone would trust me to give suggestions and allow me to dress them. The shopping spree began at West Covina Mall and ended with a total bill of seventy dollars. That's not bad all things considering. Now if wanted to look high and low for a cheaper outfit I would have wanted to take another day before the photoshoot to hit up some thrift stores, but since we were on a schedule and my friend had some money burn I had free reign.

For the photoshoot I had my friend tag along with me because I wanted someone else's input along with mine. Here we used the Bradbury Building for it's architecture and elegance. I hope that the contrast of the wood with the blues of the jeans and blazer.
