Be the Best Absolute Perfect You Can Be

KCON was just last Saturday. Can you believe it? The first U.S k-pop convention in Irvine, CA. To celebrate the event I've decided to do reviews of the artists that attended and performed. At the end of this week, I'll give my whole review on KCON.

Starting off with B.A.P, Best Absolute Perfect. Consisting of members, leader Yongguk, Himchan, Daehyun, Youngjae, Jongup, and maknae Zelo (who is freakin tall btw.). They try to achieve that in every song that they do. B.A.P's style of music is in your face, loud in a good way with heavy bass and powerful lyrics speaking to the generation that's weary about mainstream life. Each album they've brought out they've showed off their fierce side and unity in their choreography. So far they've released four singles. The first three were similar showing off their strong chords, beats and dances. The fourth album was more lighter and showed a more gentle side of the each of them. Even though they are just rookies, I could see them going far in the k-pop industry. They've already announced that they want to win Rookie of the Year award at the Mnet Music Awards in Hong Kong. Their lyrics remind me of the older k-pop groups, where they would sing about the current issues plaguing society. It's nice to see for a change compared to the cliche love songs filled with heartbreak and sadness.

Now for their style and fashion. B.A.P's fashion sense in the beginning of their first two singles were unified in their both hair and clothes. They were grungy and warrior like. Since their first single was called Warrior it was fitting for them to have the same types of clothes and even the same hair color. I will admit when I first saw them I was all :O. How the heck was I suppose to tell them apart? Second single they became space warriors or so I observed in their music video. By the time the third single came out you could see their individual styles in their clothing, hair and personalities. Each of them had their own flair. By their fourth single, Crash, their individualities solidified. Looking forward to the their 3rd mini album and 5th single.

Oh did I mention they have a cute bunny mascot?! Matoki is what they are and each of them have their own name. They are paired up with each of the members. They are hilarious and bring so much more to the group than just their music. For more info on officialmatoki.
