I wonder if I can explain them in less than four minutes. Timer!! *begins to play Mirror Mirror by 4mintue*
Alright how to explain 4minute? They are sensual, dramatic and apparently the representative girl group of k-pop. (I beg to differ but okay). I will start with Hyuna. That woman...Please forgive me as I go into a huge rant about her changes. Hyuna used to be part of a cutesy girl group called Wonder Girls until her gastroenteritis got in the way of her performance and her parents pulled her out. This is when she decided to switch later to Cube Entertainment and joined 4minute. Little did we know that her cutesy and innocent image was all a farce and she busted out her sexiness for all the world to see when she debuted her single Change. Ever since then she's been showing off her sensual side and her 'curves' (wait didn't I heard she was like 110 lbs?) much to my dismay turning 4minute into atypical girl group after their single I, Me, Mine. She was just featured in Psy's viral hit Gangnam Style. In my opinion such a squeaky voice she had when she was doing her version of the song and really tried so hard to be the girl next door innocent image. YG....why!!
She drools of sensuality. By the way friend pointed out it's because she doesn't close her mouth. Helps the sensuality image.
Now that I'm done with my rant about her...4minute, Ji Yoon, Hyuna, Gayoon, leader Jihyun and SoHyun. They were at first when they debut a in your face girl group with strong attitude and then they fell into the typical girl group showing off their looks and bodies (then again what girl group doesn't do that these days) but they lost some of their music attributes that made me like them in the first place. By Volume Up I was thankful that they had turned a new leaf and was finally experimenting with other kinds of music. (The music has ended so I kind of failed that challenge). You know what I wish for them right now? To go back to the hard electro hip-hop music they were known for rather than this fluff they represent. I do give props for their choreography easy to follow and fun to do. Do they have a Facebook? No sadly they don't but if you want to hear their music here's their Youtube channel.
P.S I have a love hate relationship with girl groups. So if you're wondering why I'm being slightly harsh about them it's cause I like to see more musical ability than bodies swaying for fanboys to wank off of.
