Sparkling Lights

I know this comes at a late time it's nearly two weeks since Fourth of July but with Anime Expo at its heels priorities were different for me. This year was the first time I was able to play with sparklers. I decided after seeing a little article about light painting to take this chance to take these photos. Needless to say I spent most of my time focusing on taking photos rather than playing with the sparklers themselves.

I couldn't help the fact how I'm able to capture this kind of light on the camera. It was fun to swirl around the sparklers and create beautiful pictures. My friends were also interested in taking portraits with the sparklers so that took a while. I learned much more things about light and where it works best in getting the right picture. I think we spent like ten photos between my two friends testing out where the light hit their faces just right. And then other times were spent getting the distance between the subject and the camera since I was limited due to my crop factor and my 50 mm lens.

Oh tools I used in addition to my camera and lens was a tripod which I need to return ASAP and a flashlight. It's not that hard once you get the hang of it. Playing with the ISO and aperture is a must depending how much of the background you want to show. Goes to show you even in darkness you can still take photos. I know many of the photos here aren't patterned like the first one but I thought what was interesting on camera was sight to see. Hope you guys do too.

How should I describe myself? Should I go into a long rant about me and what I like? Or is a list easier for your eyes? I think a small paragraph should do.
