It's been over a week since I went to this cafe and I almost forgot about them. The opportunity came when I was going over to a meet up with the fans of Eatyourkimchi at Yellow House Cafe. My impressions of it were nice and cozy when I looked it up on yelp but a friend told me it was alright. My impressions were right. The cafe had a nice comfy outdoor feel. Upstairs there was study room where I somewhat wished I could have spent the whole day just relaxing with a cup of tea. They also had little rooms where there were merchandise such as jewelry, stationery and stuffed animals. Which is interesting cause a friend of mine was thinking of opening a cosplay cafe with a small store adjacent to it. To see it's possible it's nice.
I missed the opportunity to get photos of the food I ate. The cafe is located in Koreatown so the menu was filled with little Korean fast food snacks with a mix of fusion Mexican food. The portion size was large really large. Something that I underestimated. My stomach was craving ddukbokki and the ddukbokki at the cafe did not disappoint. For dessert I had to get tiramisu. If you know me, my favorite dessert in the world is tiramisu. I wasn't used to having it served as a cake slice but the taste did not suffer. I could taste the nice bitterness of the rum mixed with the sugar and it was not that sweet. Which I enjoy because I don't like gulping giant cups of water after a dessert. I will have to say it's on the pricey side but with the large portion size if the bill was split it would be an affordable meal.
Onto the photography ! It was indoors so not much natural light could come in to light up the rooms. I tried to create a light airy feel something that felt open but with the overcast some of the things ended up being gloomy. Tell me what you think. Would you like to hang out here?
